Project: Build a Multipurpose Centre

Purpose: To skill the community for gainful employment
The building of a Multipurpose Centre at Calvary Baptist Mission is a partnership between Bold Empowerment and Calvary Baptist Mission. This project will fall under the banner of Bold Empowerment who would be responsible to oversee the project from start to completion. The aim of the center would be to accommodate the feeding of the community at least, for now, twice a week. The Centre will also be to used to facilitate in the training of the local community in skills that would see them being able to find gainful employment, i.e. welding, plumbing, upholstery, sewing, computer training etc. It would also be used for various functions hosted by the local congregation.
Phase1
Phase 1 of the project is to consult an architect, have plans drawn and then cost the project. This is already in progress.
Raymond H Davids, of Bold Empowerment is the project manager. He would be responsible in the raising of funds, putting the relevant people in place i.e. builders, plumbers, electricians and that all work done be in compliance to city and municipal standards and regulations. His estimated cost for phase 1 would be in the region of R2.000.000.00, to be adjusted once final costing is submitted.
Phase2
Phase 2 involves the equipping of the centre, estimated cost R 500.000.00.
Phase3
Phase 3 will be the start of the different training programs, vetting prospective trainers and getting the proper training manuals and other relevant course materials.
